It's not pronounced "lin-EY-a" if you've got a long "i" sound in the middle. I can't tell. I've always heard it pronounced "li-NAY-uh." Perhaps we are saying it the same way.I can only think of good associations with the name. No name is tease-proof, but I can't think of any obvious ones right now. Linnea has a light, airy quality to it. I picture a field of Scandinavian wild flowers when I think of it. :-)
