It's pronounced Eye-la. You can see it sometimes from the coast in the north of Ireland. I like the spelling Isla more, and it's one of my favourite girl's names.

Yeah thats one of my favourite girl names too! I'm just trying to find a male alternative...so they are pronounced the same? that is strange.
