[Games] Britto08's New Year's Compromise Congrats Round 2
It’s been three years, and you are having another baby! Once he or she is named, tell a little about how the family is doing. You can update on your siblings and other family if you want, but be sure to tell how your oldest child is doing with the new baby and how having two kids has changed things in your life. Did you have to move, take a new job, etc? Don't forget to update ages!Rules
1. You keep up with ages after this round.
2. If you miss a round, you do not have to make it up, but you will not get a baby the round you missed. You'll pick up with the round after and have fewer children than those who didn't miss.
3. If you decide to go with a name theme, let me know and explain it if it isn't obvious.
4. Have fun!

From your list I like:Adam
Alexander
Benjamin
Felix
Henry - would love to use it as a middle name since it is a family name. Both my father and my eldest brother is named Henry. Since we had a son first I would like to carry on the tradition.
Isaac - family name (maternal grandfather), could be used as a middle name
James - same as above, a family name though not the one I like the best
Joseph
Luke - Lucas maybe, nn Luke? I don't like just Luke as a full name
Michael
Nicholas
Oliver
Quinn
Sebastian
Simon
Theodore
Thomas
Victor
WynneAdding these names to the list:Benedict
Silas
Ulysses - middle name only (maternal grandfather's middle name)
Paul - paternal grandfather's middle name and obviously my name. I don't know if I can convince you to name our son Paul but maybe we could use it as a middle name.
Christian
Emmanuel / Emanuel
Mark
Matteus
Mathias
Solomon - one of my favorites
Abram
Hugo
Roman
Isidor
Joel
Zacchaeus - not as common as Zachary but we can still use Zack as a nickname.
Jesse
John
Elias
Noel
MorganDo you have any honouring names you would like to use?

Honoring names aren't important for me for boys, since my brother named the son he had right before Ari was born Nicholas James, taking my two favorites. WDYT of Henry Paul?
vote up1
Yes!My dear Alexandra, your taste in names is perfect. I love it!

Thank you, my dear husband. So we have Ari and little Henry. I think Ari is a great big sister. She always wants to hold Henry and play with him. As for changes, I've cut back on the number of weddings I photograph a week, at least until Ari starts school. Hard to believe she's already three!

Juliet Viola is very pretty. If we moved, would we be staying in NYC? I rather like it there.

Hello dear Alice! It's been some time since we last talked, but now we have a son! I am so proud! Anyway, we must name the poor dear. Hmm. *in deep thought* My favourite of the lot is Edward, but I fear that with Alice and Edward we'd have too much of a Twilight theme. Therefore, my first pick for first name from those names above goes to Edmund.Others I like/think go well with Alice (from our list)
Christopher
Theodore
Arthur
Dominic
Thomas
Lucas (prefer Lucan)Others to consider:
Edgar
Edwin - now that I think of this, I love it. (Edwin and Alice is ++cute!)
Eustace - but perhaps Alice and Eustace are to similar.
Francis - same as above.
Wilfred - I really like this, esp with the nn Wilf, but I completely understand if you disagree.Family names for honouring purposes or general conisderation:
James - I really like the name James, esp. as a middle name.
Raymond
Robert
Edward - see above
Alan
Herbert (A GP, litte Herb is very sweet)
Neil
JonathanTaking all of this into consideration, I've realised that I'm in love with Ed- names. Let me know how you feel about the above, then we'll start combo-ing!
vote up1
Of the Ed names I like Edmund best, and yes Alice and Edward would be too twilight. Also like Christopher, Theodore, Arthur, Dominic, Thomas and Lucas. Lucan reminds me of lord lucan. I like James, Raymond, Robert and Jonathan. Like Edmund best with Alice
vote up1
I think Edmund, Arthur and James best with Alice.
My favourite combo's for these are Edmund Arthur
Edmund James
Edmund Christopher
Arthur James
Arthur Theodore
James TheodoreCan you think of any more? What name do you like best with Alice?
vote up1
I am in love with Edmund James. That is all I have to say, my dear wife. I like Edmund Arthur as well, though, so I'll leave the choice up to you. Which would you prefer?
vote up1
I really love both they were both my favourite's seems our tastes are more similar than we thought. I say lets go with Edmund James Baker, we could save Arthur incase we have another boy, Alice, Edmund and Arthur would make such a great sibset!

Now we need to decide if we want to move or get a new job. And say how Alice is now she has a baby brother.
So do we want to move darling? Maybe somewhere sunny if we do please (with no snow!)
vote up1
Gods no snow! How about we move to my hometown (dun dun dun, revelation), Perth, in Australia? I had been planning to move back before I met you my dear wife, and when we went back on holidays, we decided we liked it so much we'd like to live there. (Or did we? This is after all, a joint decision.
Little Lissy, I think, is dealing well with her new brother, though I'm not certain she hasn't realised he's not just another doll yet.Our family thus far:

I'm happy for us to move to Perth, my family have been very supportive and have been assured they are welcome to visit. Lissy wanted to put Edmund in her dolls pram the other day, apparently he's more realistic than her babies!

As for jobs, i'm taking a little time out from work to stay with the lissy and Edmund, but plan to work again when Lissy starts school, only part time though.

DoneGreat. And there are fantastic opportunities for carpenters in Perth at the moment, I've joined a pergola construction company and am making good money. Oh, and it's about time we started to consider where we're going to send the kids for school? Public or private? I was personally at private schools and I think I had a very good education, so I'd like to do the same for our kids if you don't mind. Opinions? The Bakers

Well I was public school educated and received a fantastic education, but I have friends which went to the same school and were basically overlooked. I would never want that to happen to our kids so I definately think we should enrol the in private school

So, dear husband, we're having a son. Our name list at the sign-up round was:Arthur
Theodor/Theodore
Isaac
William "Liam?"
Felix (I don't like Felicia on a girl. It's one of my middle names and I've always hated it)
Oliver
Noah
Maximilian (I totally forgot that Maximilian was my name here, haha. Not sure if I want to use it then..)
Sebastian
Jude (I only like it for a boy, and a MN)
Oscar (MN)
Gabriel
Aiden
Jasper
Samuel
BenjaminI suggest we remove Theodor/Theodore. For a FN I like Aiden, Benjamin, Samuel, Gabriel, William, Noah, and Jasper. WDYT?

I'm pretty sure our little Thea would like to have "her baby" named after herself, but no Theodor/Theodore! Out of your FN suggestions my favorites are Benjamin, William, Noah and Jasper. I think my #1 is William. Honoring names isn't very important for me, but if you want our baby to have a honoring names I'm voting for Hunter (my mothers maiden name). If not, what about these:William Benjamin
William Jasper
William Aiden
William Jude
William Isaac
William Arthur
vote up1
I think Aiden and Benjamin are my favorites for first names, although I do like William a lot. Benjamin William or Aiden William? Thea suggested we name him Micky Mouse, but somehow I don't think that would go over well in his daycare!
vote up1
I like Benjamin more than Aiden (for the moment) so my vote goes to Benjamin William or William Benjamin. If you prefer Benjamin William I'd say we go with that one. I don't like any of the nicknames for Benjamin though.
vote up1
I like Benjamin William better, and that's okay, I don't like any of the nicknames either. So, dear husband, to update you on my family, Rachel and Jim finally had theri baby aout a year after we had Thea, a little girl they named Lily Michelle. They are expecting another, a boy they're going to call Zachary James. My brother Adam and his wife Yvonne have had two kids since we had Thea, girls namee Gracie Michelle and Samantha Faith. Caroline and her husband Daniel haven't had any kids yet, but Bridget just called me to tell me that she is engaged to her long-time boyfriend Adam. What's new with your family.
Thea seems to love Benjamin a lot. She's always wants to help me with him, what about you? Now that we have tw kids, though, I think I'm going to cut back my involvement with the Drama club at the high school I work.

Thea is a great big sister to Benjamin! I'm glad that we waited three years so Thea grew up a little bit before we had Benjamin.
My older brother, Alex, had a son with his wife two months after Thea was born, they named him Phineas Alexander. They just had a girl too, Marie Beatrix. My sister Madeleine fell completely in love with Thea when she saw her for the first time. She started talking about children on her own and a year ago she got two of them! Ethan Charles and Hayden Anthony are two lovely little boys that Thea loves to play with. My youngest brother Simon is all grown up now, 27 years old! He married his girlfriend six months ago, but I'm sure you remember the wedding. It was almost as beutiful as ours! He and Gabrielle doesn't have any children yet, but I know that they are trying!

Olivia Charlotte? Does that sound good? With the nickname of Liv?Henry & Olivia. Do you want to write the paragraph this time, since I did it the last time?
vote up1
Sounds wonderful to me! I would expect Henry to be bit protective of his baby sister! I think Henry would feel a little jealous in the beginning and then hr learns to understand that Mommy and Daddy need help with Livy. Also I would like Uncle Geoff to have a baby the same age as Olivia for future playdate.!?

DD: Olivia Charlotte "Liv" (nb)Adjusting with two kids is difficult but Greg & Zara are doing wonderfully. Henry is very protective of his baby sister, Liv, but in the beginning, he was very jealous that she was getting all the attention. Henry only likes when Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Geoff, & Auntie Kate hold Liv. Uncle Geoff and his wife ended up also having a baby girl, Sophia, 2 months after Liv was born. Sophia & Olivia will have a future playdate in the near future.
