I live in AZ and there is a city here called Prescott, so that's the first thing I think of when I here this. I prefer Preston over Prescott.

There's a village in Michigan called Prescott. But Arizona comes to mind first. All I can think of is my school's football team win in the playoff districts against Whittemore-Prescott.

Haha, me too!
Prescott, AZ has forever altered my pronunciation of the name. The city is "PRESS-kit" instead of "press-cot"...so whenever I see the name, I pronounce it like the city does.
I find Prescott a tad pretentious, as is Preston, but I think both have good character to them.
