Ever since I found it in my family tree, stuck amongst other perfectly normal mid-1800s names. It's a lovely name and Easter is such a wonderful holiday to be named for.

If you look at the meanings of the name the word Easter comes from, I'm not sure it would appeal to your beliefs so much, but if you look at my post, there are some alternatives you might like.

I'm aware that it comes from the name of a pagan God, but where the word comes from doesn't have an effect on me. It's the holiday itself that matters.
