Hm I'm not so convinced. We shouldn't limit ourselves in the creation of new names, but of course we should be conscious of what these invented names look like and if they're at all passable. If the, now infamous, little girl had been called Absidy / Absidee, there wouldn't have been such a terrible reaction and the name would be just as easily accepted as any other name children learn.
Probably more so than quite a lot of genuine and long pre-established but now unknown and unused names.
Not to mention names like Salmon and Curry which have an all too familiar sound to them
The real problem with the name is that it literally looks as if a 6 year old did it
