I think it hasn't caught on because it was too distinct as a celebrity baby name. I remember baby Suri being SUCH a big deal. I think it's too tied to the TomKat phenomena and that's why it never caught on. It is cute but I think it's also too "Other" for most people - apparently it's really popular in Hasidic/Orthodox Jewish communities?It is sweet and chipper. The i-ending is a bit anticlimactic for me, I always struggle with those.

I know. I was being funny. :)I always wondered why Tom and Katie gave their daughter this particular name. Maybe they just liked the sound of it?

Oh! Haha, sorry, I'm slow.I found an Extremely Reputable Yahoo article from 2013 that said they found it in a baby name book a friend gave them and just loved it.
