My former manager’s husband Gilbert is known as Bert. Bert dislikes Gilbert as he thinks it’s old fashioned. He would pick his wife Josephine (Josie) up every day after work in his van and if he had toffees or something he’d always offer me one.

I didn't even think about Gilbert! Weird, because that's one of my favorite names.

I'm growing to like Gilbert too. Gil is a much better nickname in my opinion.
