Bond Girls also had names like Pussy Galore and Honey Rider and Kissy Suzuki. That doesn't really say anything for the "bad-assness" of Jinx. Ditto for comic book characters.
Jinx doesn't mean a lucky charm. It means a bad omen, something that spoils things. Like saying "We've had no snow at all this winter" and then two days later you get a full-on blizzard. Of course your saying that didn't cause the blizzard but superstition is deeply engrained in all of us whether we admit it or not.
The only actual celebrity I can think of whose name was Jinx was a radio and TV personality from the forties and fifties named Jinx Falkenburg. Her real name was Eugenia.
It would make a cute name for a pet; in the old Freddie the Pig books by Walter R. Brooks, the black farm cat was named Jinx. Again, an association with bad luck.
It could make a cute nn, for Eugenia perhaps, or Jennifer or Virginia or something like that, but it would have to come naturally and not be contrived.
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!
