[Opinions] Re: Jeanne

I think I love Jeanne. Its so romantic. I actually feel the French pronunciation is a bit awkward and rather enjoy the nasal "Jeen". It's endearing and makes me think of a 1930s heroine. I've also heard people pronounce Jeanne like "genie".
Jeanne is the name of the maternal ancestor I can trace back the farthest - my mother's mother's mother's mother. So I have a sentimental attachment to it.

From my experience, the French version feels like it's not easy to pronounced for most English-speakers. It's often close to the French pronounciation, but just a bit off. Maybe that is why it feels akward or not really well said.
That's definitely it, I know I'm not saying it properly, so it always sounds a bit off!
