[Opinions] Re: Lucks/Lueks

Honestly, I think both pronunciations sound really unattractive. I'd choose the European pronunciation is slightly less gross-sounding, though.
I'm not sure why Lux bothers me so much as a name; it's one that I think I should like. I think it sounds a bit too much like a porn star or a pole dancer to my ears. I prefer Luz, Luminita, Lucina, Lucia, Lucienne, etc.

I need the smell of summer--
I need its noises in my ears.
A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.

Mm, yes, I heard it on the Virgin sucides, not the nicest character association, could be worse, but i still thought it pretty. Luminitsa/Luminita is very nice i think too.

Whatever works for you, y'know? There's just something about Lux that makes my skin crawl, but if you don't have that association, it is pretty snappy (though reminiscent of Meade Lux Lewis, which means I'm picturing a very large black man playing boogie woogie).
I really like Luminita; I once had a character whose name was Pari Luminita, because I loved the meaning--I interpreted it as "little fairy light." :)
