Message: "Clotilde" - Behind the Name

I work in a hospital and this was one of the patient's names...I thought it was absolutely horrifying, I took a guess as to how it sounds and all I could think of was a combination of Claudia and Mathilde. I should have asked...any thoughts, pronunciation suggestions?
