1. No. The "Tay" sound seems sort of lightweight to me. Not horribly, but that's just my reaction to the sound of it. I wouldn't be repelled by it if I met a guy named that, though; it's nice enough. The pronunciation is a little problematic for me -- the middle T becomes either a D sound or a stop in my accent, usually a stop, giving it a choppy, tough sound.
2. Taton or Tatun. (The Y is unnecessary and looks "trendy" to me)
