I'm just watching a German TV programme. Thomas Gottschalk has Albert Hammons as one of his guests. And he keeps pronouncing his name "Ohl-bert". Now I have always thought there was a "Royal Albert Hall" in London, pronounced "Al-bert" like in "algebra". Am I totally mistaken?
