Really. For some reason I'm starting to get defensive about babies named Alabama. I live here. And the fact that it is starting to pop up everywhere is really bugging me. It is irksome when someone kind of says "Oh, Alabama, what a kyoote name for my baby girl!" when it's the state I have grown up in, call home, and is the most important place in my life. It's degrading it pretty significantly.
Honestly, you'd think these hip namers could leave Alabama alone, of all places. It's not like we're reputed for or associated with anything worth naming a kid after. If you want
Allie use
Alison or
Alice or
Alexandra. If you want Bam-bam you should not be naming kids. If Alabama is significant to you, cool: we also have a state flower, I think it's the camellia? Really. Leave it alone. I am going to start being offended by it in the same way you are offended by God
Lucifer if I see it any more.
I don't like
Micaiah, it's too cute.
