[Opinions] Re: Georgia and a few others + need some help from people who speak French

I don't know any Georgias, but the idea of saying it jor-jee-ah just feels superwrong to me. Gives my skin the shivers--that's not how we say the state is my immediate, if not particularly fair, reaction. ;)I prefer George (and Georgy) as nicknames for Georgina. Georgia seems much too short to require a nickname to me. In fact, I think I prefer Georgina to Georgia today, though I do like Georgia. And I can't stand the idea of Jorja, though I can empathize with the sentiment behind it--I don't really like the look of "Geo-" a lot of days myself.I love Talitha and Keziah. Ronia and Roniya are both fine for someone else's kid, but I'd pronounce them differently enough that I can't think of them as alternate spellings of the same thing. Tudy and Lindley, ick. I like Trudy and Lindy, though! The day Asher is too feminine is the day I'll weep. It's not a particular favourite of mine, but it doesn't sound feminine in the slightest to me, ugh. And I can't think of any French words that sound like Conrad, but I do like it okay.Array
