[Opinions] Why would the Madelyn pronounciation be made-up?

The SPELLING Madelyn may be a modern one, but I think that Madeline (Mad-eh-lin) is the most classic spelling. Made-LINE looks newly made-up to me. "You sought a flower and found a fruit. You sought a spring and found a sea. You sought a woman and found a soul. You are disappointed."
