I honestly wouldn't know whether Joakim can be pronounced WA-keem. It could very well be so. I'm just guessing from the fact that it's Scandinavian that it probably wouldn't be a standard pronunciation of it, though. Of course, you can pronounce your child's name however you'd like.Ah, if you're in Australia then you're right, it shouldn't be much of a problem. Both names are lovely :)
