sorry, all I can think of is Carol Ann from the movie "Poltergeist." It's pretty though; I'd probably spell it Carolann--it reminds me of Turlough O'Carolan the blind Irish harpist.

That movie came out the year I was born (1982). My name is a smushed name with "ann" on the end, and the first part is similar in sound to Carol. People thought I was named after the movie character, and I remember a few times where I told someone my name and they said, "Isn't that the little girl in Poltergeist?"

I didn't mention it in my original post but I edited it in, this would be an honouring name so the reference doesn't bother me. Actually, I've never seen the movie and wasn't even aware of the character! lol
