I adore
Eva, pronounced EH-va ("ev" like nEVer) & EY-va (like
Ava). I don't like EE-va as much, but it is okay. All three are legitimate pronunciations, but I know that most people will call her EE-va.
I want to name my daughter
Eva Sophia or
Eva Natalia - either pronounced EH-va or EY-va. DH refuses to spell EY-va as
Ava. And I'm not sure how to get EH-va conveyed so that people won't automatically read it as EE-va. Any advice, or am I just looking at a lifetime of correcting people (which isn't the worst thing in the world, I guess.)?
Also, which do you think is the prettiest pronunciation?
