Miradora is very pretty. But something is bugging me. I can't help feeling that I've heard this before, but not as a girl's name. I did a google search and it did come up as a girl's name. So that makes me feel better. But, still. Something is lurking in my brain and I hate that feeling. I don't want to find out that I've endorsed a product as a name, or something / someone that has a bad history. Am I thinking of Andorra, a matador, or, help me people, is there another reference for Miradora that I'm missing? A drug cartel or something?

I love the names Mira and Dora, individually.

There's a Mayan ruin in Guatemala called El Mirador. It does kinda remind me of matador. :P

I do love Mira too, but it flow horribly with Ruth, our chosen MN.
I like Dora too, but I have a feeling my daughter would be called "Dora the Explorer".

Aha! I've got it.

I know what Miradora reminds me of: Maradona, the soccer (excuse me, football) star.

Very masculine. But not a bad association and not something that anyone else but me would think of. (And I almost couldn't!)

Phew. That would have kept me up all night.

I never heard of the Mayan ruin before, but that would definitely be a positive association, cool and mysterious.

Obviously I'm hallucinating. There's nothing wrong with Miradora. :-)

Oh yeah - miradora would mean a feminine-gendered point of view?
I kind of like that meaning but, lol.

I think I recall there was someone who used to post here, who had Mira Ruth as a favorite combo. I think it's fine.

Agreed, it's a cool, pretty combo, and "flow" isn't really worth tacking four letters, two syllables, and a nickname onto something that wouldn't have it otherwise. But Miradora's cool too.

True, I'd have to love the long version as much as Mira. :) Anyway, I'm not sure that Miradora Ruth flows any better than Mira Ruth. It has an awful lot of R's.

As long as we're throwing Miras around, could I put in a bid for Edelmira? I know the "r" problem is still there. I just couldn't help myself. Edelmira is so overlooked.

And there's also Amira. I don't like it as much as I like Mira, but it has that extra syllable that could help it flow with Ruth.

Mmmmmm. Nope. But thanks for trying. It's closer to matador, or something beginning with an "m."

It's probably just my imagination. Google didn't turn up anything negative.
