Is there something about this man's age that makes Vangregory special? Is there a pop culture reference that I don't know about?
For example, if I met someone in there 50's named Renesmee or
Sirius or Voldemort then it would make my eyes pop. I still wouldn't like their name. But knowing that there were parents who were 50 years ahead of the trend would be something indeed.
And that's how I feel about Vangregory. I don't see the appeal of it at all. It's just two names smooshed together. Sometimes that works, like
Liselotte or Michaelangelo. But
Van reminds me of
German "van" as an aristocratic flair, as in
Ludwig van Beethoven. And he made the van part up which just adds to the absurdity in my mind of Vangregory. However, I will keep my mind open if someone can explain a pop culture reference that parents 50 years ago were onto. Perhaps it's a surname?
Gregory is so handsome as is, I don't see the need to improve it.
