I've never heard of it before. Do you say KWAY-ter-mane or KWAH-ter-mane? Or am I way off? It looks like a last name to me - neither a positive nor a negative really, just an observation. It seems like it would need a cool nickname, but there aren't any jumping out at me. Maybe you should first let me know how it's pronounced first. :) It would make a pretty wicked middle name, regardless!

Yep, that's how it's said in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Although it comes out mostly sounding like quarter main still.
