Is it male or female? It sounds female to me...I really like the sound and it's similar to Genevieve which I love, but it doesn't really look like a name to me.

Its not a name, its the french word for Juniper, I was just contemplating on whether or not it would make a good name. It would definitely have to be for a girl but it sounds too made up anyways.

Problem is: This ending in French is strictly masculine so using it on a girl might not make much sense to French speakers.

Thats true, I think it just reminds me too much of Genevieve and Guinevere to see it as a boys name if it was a name...

I was thinking the same thing.I speak French and when I saw this thread, I immediately assumed it was for a boy.

I speak French but I cant see it being a masculine name I guess because it's not an actual name. Juniper in general is too feminine for me and it reminds me of Genevieve and Guinevere, oh well its a pretty word :)
