I'm really starting the fall in love with Wietske. I'm quite particular when it comes to Dutch names -- all too often I find a name in which I like the spelling, but not the pronunciation, or vice versa. But I adore the look and sound of Wietske. It's sweet, spirited, and painted with royal hues of blue and purple. Blithe and breezy, but not insubstantial, frivolous, or flimsy.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the meaning of the name (I discovered the name through Dutch actress Wietske van Tongeren).
