First thought is ew... Like Abigail quite a bit, but something about this - esp. w/ the y in there- that just doesn't do it for me. Could prob'ly get used to the sound though.

Am not a fan of Abigail myself

but just starting to think Gayla is a better name

Not sure how you feel about word names but, for the same sound, I might be tempted to go with Gala, as in a gala event or celebration. Seems sleeker and more elegant to me.
