It reminds me of those made-up names I've seen where it looks like the parent was going for a word name but wasn't willing to use an actual word. Like Atrinity, Sencerity, Signifagance, Aunesti and Shadiamond, all of which I have seen and know to be the names of real people.
Tempany looks like a mish-mash of temporary and company, really. Or some kind of bad headache you might get with ringing in the ears.

Made-up wordish names is exactly what I was thinking. I've seen Psalmody, Lyrique, Le-Royalti, Starydawyn, Phaithphuly, Ja'Hyghness, Myessence, and oh so many more. I find most of them here, on other boards, in web nurseries, or other assorted places on the Internet. I am not around children enough to encounter anything other than Avas, Jaydens, Sophias, etc. in public.
