I kind of like them as nicknames. I thought of Aaron nn Ron or Ronnie for a boy and Ronia nn Roni for a girl. I also kind of like Roni on its own. Opinions?

I don't really care for Ronald or Veronica. Would you say the nickname Ronnie/Roni is common? Do you pronounce them differently and which do you prefer?

Aaron nn Ron or Ronnie seems to be kind of unusual. People hardly ever seem to derive the nickname from the last syllable. I knew a Dan for years and thought it was short for Daniel. I just recently found out his name is Aidan and I thought that was kind of cool and unexpected.

I also like Aaron nn Ari. Which do you prefer as a nickname, Ron, Ronnie or Ari?
