[Opinions] Geordon
There's a kid in my class with the name Geordon (Male) and it's pronounced like Jordan. I've never seen this spelling before and I actually don't hate it but I think it might be a little much. WDYT?

I like Geordie and Jordan, but I don't really care for Geordon. I say go with either Jordan or Gordon. Geordon isn't horrible, but I imagine that people automatically assume that his name is spelled Jordan initially, and thus, they misspell it.

It looks like his parents couldn't decide between George and Jordon.

Looks like they were trying way to hard to be fancy.

I dislike it. It's kind of like spelling George as Jorge.

While I think it looks obnoxiously dumbed down to spell a Geor- name with Jor-, I've never encountered the opposite! I think it has sort of the opposite effect, too. It looks obnoxiously like they're trying too hard to be fancy or something. I also agree with ninjato, it looks like they couldn't pick between George and Gordon!

It's as if one put George and Gordon in a blender and this is the result.

There is an Irish rugby player called Geordan Murphy which is similar. I just googled him because I couldn't remember his surname. According to Wikipedia: He was officially named George after his father but his mother called him Geordan to avoid confusion.I'm not a fan of Geordon or Geordan but then again, I don't like Jordan either. I think it he would probably have to spell out his name all the time which must get annoying.
