My Mum has a friend called Venetia (ven-EE-sha). As I've known her since I was a child, I never thought her name was strange, but it's actually quite unusual. The BTN page says that Venetia is a Latinized form of Gwyneth - does anyone know how that arose, because they seem totally different to me?Any opinions of Venetia, or of Gwyneth?
