Texas isn't very unusual here actually ... I think it started when a Swedish celeb named her son Texas in 2004. It's her we have to blame for people here using Kid as well, that's her older son. She also has a Lennon, which has inspired some use of that. Her daughter's name, Sindy, hasn't caught on, though.
