[Opinions] Re: Naveah!!
Nevaeh continues to be a name that I primarily associate with tragedy. A lot of people name their stillborn babies or babies who die shortly after birth Nevaeh. As well, several years ago, it was coming up repeatedly on the news, children named Nevaeh who were otherwise healthy children dying horribly (see Nevaeh Richardson, Nevaeh Buchanan, Nevaeh Gallagos, etc). [The first two are from the Detroit area so they were on the news constantly at the time].
Also I just think the pronunciation is counterintuitive and the spelling is ugly.
Also it is a trend so I don't know what you mean by "I will not base my opinion on a trend"-- if you were picking a name 15 years ago, you probably would have never considered it.
"than you will go to jail for kidnap."

I agreeI've added to the list of "tragedy" names:Heaven
Angel
Precious
Journey
Miracle
Serenity
Zion
Destiny
ZenAlso, why are most of the names feminine? Most boys I meet with tragic beginnings are almost always given normal names.

There was a case a couple years ago (actually it was in the news for years before it was resolved and it hasn't truly ever been resolved) where a woman in Florida was charged with killing her foster daughter, though no body was ever found. The kid's name was Rilya, which her mother said stood for "Remember I love you always."
This mother had never been involved in her child's life, had lost custody or given up custody of all her children, and apparently had left Rilya with this woman, whose daughter she met in rehad and never kept in touch with them. Child's name should have been Ilcemty, for I love crack even more than you.I agree with you and have found that oftentimes, or at least often enough to be noted, really bad parents seem to think that giving their baby a "meaningful" or "loving" name is all they have to do, and will prove to others that they really are loving parents. As for boys with this style of name, I have read or heard about died-young-by-their-parents'-hand named Rainbow Lord, Miraculous in a couple different spellings, Sincere Understanding and Supreme Knowledge, (mother threw these two off a bridge, one survived and the other didn't) Zion, Praise, (saw this on a dead girl too, spelled funny) and Trustin.
