Nevaeh continues to be a name that I primarily associate with tragedy. A lot of people name their stillborn babies or babies who die shortly after birth
Nevaeh. As well, several years ago, it was coming up repeatedly on the news, children named
Nevaeh who were otherwise healthy children dying horribly (see
Nevaeh Richardson,
Nevaeh Buchanan,
Nevaeh Gallagos, etc). [The first two are from the Detroit area so they were on the news constantly at the time].
Also I just think the pronunciation is counterintuitive and the spelling is ugly.
Also it is a trend so I don't know what you mean by "I will not base my opinion on a trend"-- if you were picking a name 15 years ago, you probably would have never considered it.
