I am on the fence about it. I think it's fine on other people and their kids. But I probably would never use it because it has a kind of self-consciousness that I'm not comfy in. It's similar to the way I feel about
Athena. It's a name that grabs your attention and you can't forget it, and it reflects a little glow of power or impact onto the bearer. But, only so superficially. Because at the same time, when I meet someone called
Athena or
Scarlett, I can't help thinking it's kind of an air put on, kind of tongue-in-cheek, like a little joke. The joke being, not a joke on the bearer, but a joke on any fools who'd actually be intimidated by the boldness of the name. It's like, yeah that is an awesome name - of course you're not quite as awesome as it is, but it sure is an awesome name. And hey, it brings awesomeness to mind, and that has a positive effect on the impression you make.
