I actually really love
Eloise. There was a
Princess Eloise in a rather obscure fantasy movie I watched far too many times as a child, and I loved her and her story. She actually spent a good chunk of the movie calling herself
Darlene, which is a nice enough name, but
Eloise is just so much more elegant. (She was engaged to a
Prince Arthur, but his name is far less exciting.)
Eloise feels very fairy tale to me, probably due in large part to that association. It's also easy to shorten (
Ella,
Elly /
Ellie,
Elle, etc).
I have not once met an
Eloise, but apparently it's recently gaining popularity in both the US and
UK (and even Australia, though not in Canada where I live). I have never met an
Eloise, which sort of makes the name feel like it "belongs" in that fairy tale setting rather than irl.

Juliet is nice too. I also watch a show with a
Juliet! It's pretty and feminine without the pervasive 'a' or 'y' sounds at the end like so many lovely feminine names! I like it for combos because it doesn't end up rhyming with everything. ;)
