Help[Opinions] Edward or Harold?

My husband apparently hates Mordecai and will almost definitely never let me use it as a first name, so I moved it to a middle name slot. But this gives me a chance to make a combo with Zia / Ziya, hooray.
So I made a bunch of combos and came down to two, Ziya Edward Silver and Ziya Harold Silver. Edward is a name I like and that has been used a few times in both my and DH's family but not like, close relatives, so I wouldn't consider it honoring. Harold was my grandfather's name and I've been kind of thinking about it just in general for a couple months anyway. And my grandfather was a good guy and I'd have no problem honoring him but I don't really have any intention of honoring anyone else.
Knowing this, which combo would you choose?
And would you spell it Ziya or Zia? I tended to use Zia as a middle name and Ziya as a first but I'm open to opinions.

You know what? I'm gonna go with Zia Harold Silver.
I admit the grandfather association is pinging something in me, because my own grandfather isn't doing very well, and the thought of his name being honored makes me all warm and fuzzy inside (his name HAS been honored by a cousin using it for her son's middle name. It's Albert and everyone thought it was old-fashioned and awful, but she used it anyway. Go, cousin.) So, yeah, I vote for Zia Harold Silver. I kind of like Zia for a boy, BTW. It's feminine, but it's not so feminine that I can't ever picture it on a boy; it's not Julianna or Isabella or Sophia. And after seeing a lot of girl Rileys and Peytons and Sawyers in BA's, I think using a feminine name for a boy is just fine. Evens the playing field, or whatever.

Yeah, exactly. And this isn't my #1 boys combo; DH has already approved Ashley and loves Jorah (which, to anyone not watching GoT, is probably pretty feminine, it's a letter off Norah), so Zia / Ziya can complain about his girly name to his older brothers.
Between your comments and Pie's, I think I'm going to go with Harold. I was going to go with Edward by popular vote but nah.

Edward. The combo sounds better, and Edward is a better name than Harold ;)
As for the spelling, I dunno... I don't really like Zia/Ziya no matter how you spell it, but what makes it difficult for me to decide is that Ziya looks a lot more arabic than Zia (even though they both are) while Zia looks like a girls name (maybe because I know a girl named Sia?).
And to be perfectly honest, I don't think Zia/Ziya sounds that good with your surname either, but in the end it's up to you guys.

Yeah, I know no one likes Ziya / Zia. If I went with Ziya Harold Nocturne (which is one I put together and then decided I really wanted to use Silver), it'd be my most hated combo [they're the lowest rated names on my list]. Not that that really bothers me. Silver doesn't rank too high either.
I don't really hear an issue with my surname except for the culture clash. Having similar initial sounds doesn't bother me.

Say Ziya + your surname a bit fast...and it sounds a little bit like sea channel. At least to me. Not a huge deal, though.

I'm not hearing it no matter how many times I say it, might be a difference in accent. But if other people hear it, yeah, no big deal. Nothing wrong with sea channels.

I think I'd spell it Ziya... It looks more masculine to me? Not sure why.
Ziya Edward Silver has significantly better flow in my opinion. Ziya to Harold has a pretty chopped transition when I say it, so I prefer Edward. If honoring isn't a prerogative for you then that doesn't make a difference so much imo.
I do like Harold better than Edward though overall. I like the idea of Harold Ziya Silver quite a lot for combos using the names from this post, but Harold is obviously not a first name front runner.

Zia has been on my list since 2008. "Too feminine" isn't going to scare me off a name I've loved for 7 years, and my husband has already approved several "feminine" names. I don't want Harold or Edward as a first name, they don't fit my naming style, and Harry is awful imo.
