Emeline and Emmeline are quite different to me because I pronounce Emeline the French way (-EEN) while I pronounce Emmeline to rhyme with wine. I like them both but Emmeline looks more complete to me. I also like the nickname Emmy. Emeline must have been quite common at one point, I know three girls with the name, all French and born in the early 90s.

I never said that I pronounce Emmeline and Emeline the same, and for the record, do not. The way you interpret the pronunciation of the two spellings is widely shared.

I don't understand where you are getting the idea from that I said you weren't pronouncing them like I do. I didn't say that at all. I just gave you my opinion and I was trying to be helpful by stating how the names are different to me.
