[Opinions] Re: Venus or Aphrodite?
Can I say: Neither? I find naming your daughter aftr a goddess of love, rather pretensious, personally. What if she's not drop dead gorgeous? But IF I was forced to pick one or the other: Venus, more planet like and not quite so loaded as Aphrodite.Clementine India Jane, Maud India Scarlett, Elspeth Violet Ophelie, Beatrix Lilias PenroseRex Fiyero Malachy, Cosmo Henry George, Rufus Wilder John, Clarence Arthur Finlay

Often the point of these either/or questions is to make you pick the lesser of two evils. It's fun that way. I'd never name a daughter either name myself. If I had to choose, I'd pick Aphrodite. I don't like it, but to me Venus is more of a term for a very beautiful woman than Aphrodite is, so Aphrodite would be less embarrassing.
