What about the names Lilah and Leila/Layla that begin with "Lie" or "Lay." I don't think it's a big deal. If somebody wants to make fun of you, they're going to find a way to do it regardless.
I think Laelia looks pretty, but I would be inclined to pronounce it LAY-lee-uh. LIE-lee-uh is a bit of a mouthful to me. I'd prefer Lilah or Leila.
