Javi and Sunny are thrilled to be in-laws and grandparents! Julito finally proposed to Hazel and they are planning a wedding in the fall. Marjo had the Morales’ first grandchild- her relationship with her boyfriend didn’t work out, but she fiercely loves her daughter and is prepared to raise her as a single mother. Her first name is inspired by a singer from the 50’s or 60’s (male or female), and her middle name means “joy”. Benji and Julito have both been very involved as uncles, and Benji finally feels ready to raise a child of his own with Dorian. A friend of theirs volunteered as a surrogate, and their son is named after her- luckily enough, she has a unisex name. His middle name is a tribute to one of Benji’s parents.

Lou and Layla swore years ago that they would never leave Manhattan, but they finally broke down and bought a house in Queens once they decided to adopt a second daughter. Henry got a well-paying job as a civil engineer, which is fortunate because Eliora is expecting twins! They are having one boy and one girl, and Sid, Farida and Salma can’t wait for the new additions to the family. Eliora and Henry each picked a name combo. Eliora wants a Biblical first name and a modern Hebrew middle name for the boy, and Henry wants a Shakespearean first name and an Arabic middle name for the girl.
