I used to hate Patty, but I'm really warming up to it. I would find it adorable if I found out a Patricia went by Patty and not Trisha.
I wonder if Pat, Patty and Patsy are out of favour because of teasing potential for "fat, fatty, fatso" rhyming taunts? Just-Patty (or maybe Pattie?) would fit in with the Ellie-Sadie-Sophie-Elsie-Lily-Chloe-Zoe fashion....
