Though it is hard to prove the absence of something, I'd say, no, it wasn't used in Germany in the early 19th century. If it was used, it was very rare and probably only in a small region of Germany. There is an example of a German given name essentially only known in one small village in Bavaria, see Edigna for more information, so I cannot completely exclude this case.
