[Opinions] Jayyneellen
My friend worked at a hospital around here, and we were talking about names. This atrocity was the actual FN of a little girl born this summer. When she said "Jane Ellen," I was like, Oh, that's cute. Then she spelled it for me. Sigh.ETA: Any takers on the bet that Jane and Ellen are grandma's names that this teen mum had to use to appease the 'rents, but she thought she'd trendy it up a bit? There was a twinset named Pebbles and Bambam, too. I really, really, really wish I were making this up. They were kids in a local preschool class.

Wit has truth in it; wisecracking is simply calisthenics with words.

Even Jaynellen or Jayne Ellen wouldn't be bad. What could the purpose of a double "y" possibly be? I don't get it.
I swear, people just do not think past the first YEAR of their child's life. Look down the road to jr. high. They call Pebbles Smith's name to announce she's running for student council. Jane Ellen is a perfectly acceptable name, but the spelling Jayyneellen is worse than horrible...
Pebbles and Bambam is, I think, worse than Jayyneellen.Check Out Blinkyou.com for thousands of custom glitters and layouts

Jane Ellen is very nice. Yep. And about the spelling, it's only the spelling on her birth certificate, so she can just not use it, can't she? I mean, on all kinds of things just write Jane Ellen unless they ask for her real name on all kinds of documents. I've played sometimes with the spelling of my name. Unless, of course she wants to be a Jayyneellen, and if it's a case of her wanting to, she'll fit the name. Lol, I'm trying to find her a way out because my brain can't get around that spelling. And Pebbles and Bambam... no comment. I hope they have middle names.

Pebbles and Bambam ?!I think I prefer Jayyneellen, at least she can say her name out loud without people falling over from laughter. I feel sorry for the twinset. What were their parents thinking! Jayyneellen is horrid too, it looks very illiterate (I hope I spelled that right ;)Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

Jane Ellen would be lovely. Why do they have to ruin it??Pebbles and Bambam? Oh my, how I wish you were making these up too. Why don't they just use them as nicknames? I mean honestly? President Bambam? Judge Pebbles? UGH.

Aw. Jane Ellen would be a fabulous double name--and Janellen wouldn't be all that bad as a first name. But Jayyneellen? Well, all I can think to say is this: :( !!!Array
