I'd leave them alone. Who wants to be associated with Spiro Agnew, Nixon's vice-president and a nasty piece of work in his own right? He's the guy who did such classy things as calling liberals "effete corps of impudent snobs"--I blame him for starting a lot of the "liberal media bias!" whining that occurs nowadays.
The names are totally tainted for me. They sound very cool--great sounds, great meanings--but...dude. Agnew.
On the other hand, with public schooling as it is, most kids have no idea who the hell Spiro Agnew is--there's the chance that he wouldn't have to deal with the association too much. But still, I'd stick with Spyridon.
