I accidentally ended up with a theme for my twins. One's name means star and the other's name has sun connotations. I chose the names because I love them individually, the theme is an added bonus. In terms of wider family dynamics, I have a very common name, my brother had a rare name. Baby A has a common first name, Baby B has a rare name. I don't know if this counts as a theme, but I don't have a middle name, while my brother did. I gave Baby A a middle name (same initials as my brother) while Baby B only has a first name (same initial as me).
