Julie - Reminds me of mothers, because I know quite a few named
Julie. I much prefer
Julia.
Robin - I hate it. I've always hated it, even as a little girl. I'm not quite sure why. I can't picture it on a boy, though, definitely a girl's name to me.
Carrie - I actually love the spelling
Keri. I pronounce
Carrie,
Kerry,
Keri, etc. all the same way. I would go
Caroline nn
Carrie, I think it's adorable! Not a fan of
Carolyn.
Mary - Too plain for me. Almost more boring than
Jane.
Melissa - I think it's too dated. Not a huge fan of the sound.
Jessie - I like it, but I would definitely do it as a nickname, not a full name.
James - Absolutely love it! I agree, no nickname. I love the sound, it's very classic.
Aaron and
Aron are pronounced the same.
Erin is pronounced the same as well, but I think of it as a totally different name. I was actually thinking about it a couple days ago - it only really occurred to me that they were pronounced the same when I had an
Aaron and an
Erin in a summer class I was taking.
