Aksarben Village (2005 to Present) is a pedestrian-friendly mixed-use development located on the site of the former Ak-Sar-Ben arena and racetrack in Omaha, Nebraska.Aksarben (Nebraska spelled backwards) started as one of the mid-1930s "model communities" designed by one of US President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal federal agencies.
