Anchorage is the most populous settlement in Alaska USA.
Founded in 1914 after gold was found there.
The area was inhabited by native Americans and Russians.
Originally called Anchor Point.
The name Anchorage comes from a store operated from a boat , and refers to "where a place where a ship can anchor"
