I really like it. One day I thought to myself, Valerie sounds really masculine, and I like the sound of it for a boy. Thus, I like Valeriy and Valère. I like the spelling Valery better though.
Not so sure about Valeriy Anatoliy though, just because they look the same at the end. The sound being the same at the end doesn't bother me. I don't think I like Val as a nn for a guy. Don't they have some cool Russian nickname for Valeriy. With a -sya at the end? :)
