Not the same name. Malachy is -kee and Malachi is -kie (long I). I know there's been some discrepancies here on how the ending of Malachi is pronounced, but I've never ever heard it with an -ee sound, and it doesn't make sense since it's a Hebrew name. I'm really sensitive about that because I LOVE Malachy (and thus feel a bit possessive of it!) and HATE Malachi. But off the soapbox. :P
Yes, love love love Malachy. Is that the name we're supposed to be discussing? I don't think it would go super well with Aidan, Finn, and Calla. It's a very strong, rugged name to me, and Aida, Finn, and Calla are all very light and soft. I don't think Malachi would fit with them, either, but perhaps a bit better than Malachy.
